The Sport and Health Survey informs schools about pupil's participation in sport, physical activity and healthy lifestyles.
It can provide PE departments with key information about their pupils such as;
- Sporting preferences: understand which sports pupils want to play more of and be in a position to tailor your school sport offer to meet the demands of your pupils. This will be particularly relevant for schools with pupils of primary age, providing evidence to support schools in understanding how they could utilise their Primary PE and School Sport Premium effectively and evidence the impact it has, in turn providing key evidence for Ofsted.
- Departmental self-evaluation: understand the views of pupils across key demographic groups about the quality, enjoyment and satisfaction with PE.
- Healthy lifestyles: understand how healthy a lifestyle your pupils lead, as well as the level of understanding on key issues such as obesity.
- Make the most of the opportunities: please visit the Your Local Network section for details of the support available within your County Sports Partnership to help interpret the messages from the results and understand the sporting opportunities available for your pupils.
